Alright, here we go. This is from the same “album” (if you can call it that) as that last track I posted, and it’s called “destiny”. destiny.mp3 or destiny.mid, either way. I have no idea where it came from, it’s been on my computer for ages so I apparently got this “album” some years ago from somewhere.
This also goes well with the latest update, at least, it did when I read it.
This is the first collection of music done by Homestuck fan musicians. Yes, it does contain some work from the music team itself, but we’re fans of Homestuck, too. This is a completely unofficial album, and was just a lot of fun to be…
go, go now
some old stuff of mine is on there
I don’t even remember what, but one of them is me screaming and playing piano
Soooo I was thinking about Endless Expanse recently, and thought it might be cool to go and upload what it was like before I stuck melodic stuff in (cause it might have ruined it? I don’t really know or care)
I feel like posting some old stuff I made for people
Okay why not
Anyway in my laziness, over the past while, I went and made some little strife tunes for people. Okay actually I’ve only made three. And they’re all kind of unpolished, though it’s not like there’s a lot of polish needed for this stuff anyway
This first one was made for a friend of mine named Ranger. And there’s not really a title because I’m unimaginative, it’s just some strife tune.
Earl Wild was pretty much a virtuoso on the piano. He taught my neighbor on and off for a bit, too, that’s how I first heard about him.
Anyway, he tells quite a few stories, and the following is about a man named Henry Hornbostle (architect, designer of quite a few university campuses) and Claude Debussy.
(if you don’t know, Debussy is a rather famous composer)
"In the mid-1800s, Debussy and Hornbostle went to Spain together for a long holiday weekend. They enjoyed themselves so much that while packing to return to Paris, they realized they had spent all of their money and could not afford to pay their hotel bill. They soon came up with an ingenious plan. Their hotel had bedbugs, so Henry found a glass jar, caught a few of these bugs and placed them inside. Henry had his paints with him, so he painted each bug a very bright shade of green. After all the bugs had been painted and sufficiently dried, they gathered their belongings and went to the front desk. As Debussy approached the front desk holding the jar of bright green bugs, he opened the lid and scattered them all over the counter while screaming "plague" to the hotel staff and any horrified guests who happened to be in the lobby. As everyone rushed around in a panic, trying to escape the horrible "green" bugs, Debussy and Hornbostle fled the hotel with their bags in hand! I was so amused when I first heard the story. I could visualize the entire imaginative scene!"
Time for something completely different from the last one.
This is a bit of audio that I’m sure won’t be used for a very long time, and I don’t even mean in MSPA. It was made for a forum adventure that has been in hiatus since 4/15 (don’t know if/when it’s ever going to come back), which I’d offered to make strife tunes for the characters, as a sort of side-thing to MSPA.
It was after I’d made this that I started to ponder what exactly makes something someone’s theme, besides the naming of it as “xxx’s theme”. So you might not even think of this as someone’s strife theme. But it was fun to make, if anything! And making these sort of light, poppy strife things is fun too.
So since I might as well put something up to get this thing going, here’s this thing that I made one night during the Vriska-Terezi showdown update. I was like “oh man, I’m doing something topical for once”, and then the whole thing with the ancestors wrapped up and Hussie told me that it wasn’t really going in a Vriska-Terezi direction, so I stopped working on it. But maybe I’ll get it done one of these days.
